GexFinder is a personal project I started to assist with my trading. Instead of manually searching for options data on individual tickers and guessing where I thought the Call GEX Strike or Put GEX Strike might be, I wanted a comprehensive list with all the information for the tickers I follow. That’s what sparked the idea, and this is the current version of my tool—it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done. If you do not understand Gamma Exposure (GEX) and want to use this tool, please educate yourself, as the entire website is based on GEX. All GEX calculations are based on open interest, and the data is delayed by 15 minutes. The data is best viewed after 30 minutes from the open until market close. The after market and premarket or weekend data is not accurate. Keep this in mind.
Stock Ticker GEX Calculator: Calculates GEX for individual stocks and displays the highest Call GEX Strike and Put GEX Strike, along with Net GEX, Zero GEX, and Total GEX. It also plots the data for better visualization.
Stock Ticker GEX List: Calculates GEX just like the Stock Ticker GEX Calculator, but instead of just doing one ticker, it processes a list of 40 tickers I follow and displays all the GEX data in a sortable DataTable. This takes longer to calculate, but it’s incredibly useful to have all the data in one place.
SPY 0DTE: Calculates GEX specifically for SPY 0DTE. I use this along with my charts to trade SPY.
Short Sale: Uses FINRA Daily Short Sale Volume to calculate a buy ratio. A ratio above 1 indicates buying, while below 1 indicates selling. FINRA updates their files after each market day at 6:00 PM EST. Before that time, you’ll be viewing data from the previous day. The "Process File" button retrieves the file, and "Load Data" displays the data. You only need to process the file once a day, as it remains saved.
